Biography
I've spent over seventeen years on set making sure the creative vision gets to screen. From intimate character dramas to large-scale period productions, I bring calm, precision, and a genuine love of the craft to every production.
The role of a 1st AD is to be the bridge between the director's vision and the reality of the shoot — keeping the day moving, the crew focused, and the creative space protected. It's a job I take seriously and find endlessly rewarding.
I've been fortunate to work with some of the most talented directors, writers, and crews in British and international film and television. Every production is different, and that variety is what keeps the work exciting after all these years.
My Approach
Preparation
A well-prepared shoot is a creative shoot. I work closely with the director and HODs in pre-production to anticipate every challenge before it becomes a problem on the day.
Communication
Clear, calm communication is the foundation of a good set. I believe in keeping every department informed and making sure the director's vision is understood at every level.
Collaboration
The best work happens when everyone on set feels heard and respected. I foster an environment where creativity can thrive and where people feel safe to do their best work.
Adaptability
No two days on set are the same. The ability to think clearly under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and keep the production moving forward is at the heart of what I do.
